Be A Part Of A Holiday Celebration Like No Other
The second-annual Rendezvous South extravaganza is poised to be the holiday event of the year for meeting & event planners from across the country who book meeting destinations in the South.
Being held Dec. 1-3, 2014 in historic Savannah, Ga., this holiday celebration like no other will allow you to experience one of the South’s most gorgeous and gracious meetings destination as it’s lit up for the holiday season. Stroll down River Street, a nine-block brick concourse with an array of entertainment options housed in one-time cotton warehouses that have been restored to showcase their rustic beauty. Acquire unique holiday gifts at the more than 75 boutiques and shops, be inspired by the art galleries and artists’ studios, and fill your belly with Low Country and Southern cuisine at the numerous restaurants and pubs.
Along with exploring the charming mystique of historic Savannah, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the trade secrets of your peers in the meetings industry and network with Southern destinations that want your business such as the twin cities of Shreveport and Bossier City in northeast Louisiana, the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex city of Irving and Jackson, Mississippi’s capital “city with soul.”
Now in its second-year, Rendezvous South is being organized by ConventionSouth magazine, a multimedia resource for meeting planners that’s now in its 31st year. ConventionSouth Publisher Talty O’Connor says Rendezvous South is the place where meeting planners and suppliers can come together for “real business, real discussions and real relationship building.”
Here’s what meeting planners said about the 2013 Rendezvous South:
Fannie Smith, of Meeting Professionals Expectations, attended and said, “The conference was well planned. I enjoyed the education, networking, food, tours and Southern hospitality extended by all of the suppliers.”
Tommy Keown of Arrowhead Conferences and Events, said, “All of the staff was exceptional! We could not have asked for more from you. Thanks for all of the attention to detail and for providing an excellent experience.”
Taryn Daigle of Woman’s Foundation Inc., also noted, “This was my first time attending a meeting planner event. It was a wonderful experience where very useful information and contacts were obtained.”
